Mary Perry was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She grew up in Hardy, Arkansas, in the foothills of the Ozarks. The family transferred to the Galveston, Texas area when she was 14 years old.
After graduating from Santa Fe High School, in Santa Fe, Texas, Mary returned home to Hardy, where she chose the Air Force for her career and embraced the opportunity to serve her country.
She spent 8 ½ years on active duty, where she was a computer operator. She was later taught the skills of training management. Mary was stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada, when she was medically discharged from the Air Force in 1993.
Mary chose to remain in Las Vegas, and has taken every opportunity to further her education and professional training.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the University of Las Vegas in 1996. She continued her education as a member of the charter class of William S. Boyd School of Law in 1998 and graduated in 2001. She passed the Nevada State Bar the same year. Since that time Mary has passed the bar in the states of Hawaii and Missouri.
Mary has practiced family law in the Las Vegas area since 2003, where she has dedicated as much as 50 percent of her time to pro bono work.
Mary began her political career as a candidate for District Court Judge in 2014.
